Nice, Tsop! It's addictive as hell, isn't it?

On a whim I finally started playing the original Left 4 Dead a couple days ago. The way the menus are structured it looked like it was exclusively multiplayer, which I hadn't anticipated. I played a few multiplayer games before I found the single player campaign. So far it's pretty fun, though I enjoy the single player campaign more.

Do you get periodically rushed by groups of zombies so that you cannot simply sit in one place or go very slowly? I know in some places they're triggered by map events and such, but it seems sometimes pretty random, and it seems like they're there to make sure you press on rather than taking your sweet time.

By the way, my 5 year old 7800GTX (very high end at the time) wasn't really cutting it anymore, but the new GTX 560 Ti I just got yesterday runs everything maxed butter smooth. Love it.

If I keep it up and eventually finish it, I imagine I'll have to pop for L4D 2...

Well, you probably have the answer already, but if I recall in the single-player campaign you can clear out an area and hang out a while without getting harassed. You may have a problem if you return back to that area, but if you stay put you should be okay.

Nice on the new card acquisition! You'll be wanting to play all those fancy games you've been missing out on. For a while.

I'm gonna get that as soon as it goes on sale. The way it plays is so much fun.
